The research aims to study the characteristics of imaginary characters in the novel The City of Caesars by the Chilean writer, Manuel Rojas and in the novel One Hundred Years of Solitude by the Colombian writer, Gabriel García Márquez, through applying the Principle of Paul Grice cooperation; specifically the quality maximum that opens the door to a broader literary analysis. Breaking the quality maximum aims to justify the characteristics of the characters that also live in totally imaginary cities. Going beyond logic serves the goal. In the investigation the acronym LCC is used to refer to the City of Caesars, and the acronym CAS to refer to One Hundred Years of Solitude. يهدف البحث إلى دراسة خصائص الشخصيات المتخيلة في رواية مدينة القياصرة للکاتب التشيلي، مانويل روخاس، وفي رواية مائة عام من العزلة للکاتب الکولومبي، غابرييل غارسيا مارکيز، من خلال تطبيق نظرية مبدأ التعاون لبول غريس؛ وتحديداً مسلمة الکيف التي تفتح الباب لتحليل أدبي أوسع. يهدف کسر مسلمة الکيف إلى ابراز خصائص الشخصيات المتخيلة التي تعيش أيضًا في مدن متخيلة تمامًا حيث أن تجاوز المنطق يخدم الهدف. في البحث، يتم استخدام اختصارات من ثلاثة حروف للإشارة إلى الروايات.
