Thérèse Desqueyroux, The Perverse Narcissistic

Abstract :
In his masterpiece, Thérèse Desqueyroux, François Mauriac  introduced a portrait of female criminal who attempted to poison her husband. This perverse image sketched with unparalleled dexterity was the subject of great controversy. Victim or executioner, the character of Therese was always viewed, by critics and readers, as one of these antipodes. In the course of our present research, we will try to study this character from a psychological standpoint, since the character’s profile demonstrated by the author closely follow perverse and narcissistic personality characteristics. Resting our present research upon a foundation of  some literary and psychological studies is intended to enhance the juxtaposition of the fictional character and actual symptoms of narcissism, through which great resemblance and undeniable convergence became manifest. The current research endeavors to bring to light  literature’s ability to depict character types derived from real life, reflecting writer’s ingenuity on the one hand and literature importance on the other.
قدم فرنسوا مورياک في رائعته تيريز ديکيرو صورة لمجرمة حاولت قتل زوجها عن طريق وضع السم له. و آثارت هذه الصورة المرسومة بمهارة فائقة محلا لجدل واسع. فبين الضحية و الجلاد تأرجحت تيريز في عيون النقاد والقراء٠ ومن خلال بحثنا الحالي سنقوم بدراسة شخصية تيريز ديکيرو من وجهة نظر نفسية حيث لفت انتباهنا التشابه الشديد بين الشخصية التي قدمها مورياک و سمات الشخصية النرجسية المنحرفة کما ذکرتها الدراسات النفسية. ولقد استعننا في بحثنا الحالي ببعض الدراسات الأدبية و النفسية للقيام بهذه المقاربة بين الشخصية الخيالية و الأعراض الحقيقية للنرجسية المرضية. ولقد استطعنا من خلال هذا المقارنة توضيح التقارب الشديد بين الصورتين الخيالية و النفسية الحقيقية. و تهدف هذه الدراسة الي بيان قدرة الآدب علي تصوير نماذج حياتية حقيقية مما يدل علي براعة الکاتب من جهة و دور الثقافة في اثراء التجارب الحياتية من جهة أخري.
