يعد مبحث الآباء من أهم مباحث المشنا التي تتناول التعاليم والوصايا الأخلاقية والحكم والمواعظ ذات الطابع الفلسفي، حيث يطلق عليه باللغة الإنجليزية " Ethics of the Fathers"، أي "أخلاقيات الآباء". حيث لا يحتوي هذا المبحث على أحكام تشريعية على غرار غيره من مباحث المشنا. ونتيجة لاختلاف محتواه عن سائر مباحث المشنا، فقد تميزت لغته فيما يتعلق بمستويات بناء النص، سواء على المستوى الصوتي، والمستوى الصرفي والمعجمي، والمستوى التركيبي، والمستوى الدلالي. وتهدف هذه الدراسة إلى عرض مستويات بناء مبحث الآباء كنص أدبي ديني، وبيان مدى اتفاقه واختلافه مع لغة المشنا التي ينتمي إليها النص. وقد انتهجت الدراسة المنهج التحليلي التطبيقي، والذي يعني بتحليل النص وتطبيق الظواهر اللغوية على النص، بغرض إبراز العلاقات الشكلية والدلالية التي تسهم في الربط بين عناصر النص. وتوصلت الدراسة إلى التعرف على مستويات البناء النصي في مبحث الآباء، ومدى تشابه لغته مع لغة المشنا، وفيما اختلفت عنها وأضافت إلى طبقات اللغة العبرية في فترة المشنا.
The study focuses on Pirkei Avot as a central theme within the Mishna, delving into its teachings, moral directives, wisdom, and philosophical discourses. Unlike other sections of the Mishna, Pirkei Avot lacks legal statutes, setting it apart due to its distinctive content. This distinction is reflected in the text's linguistic characteristics, spanning phonetics, morphology, lexicon, syntax, and semantics. The research aims to comprehensively present how Pirkei Avot, as a religious literary text, is constructed across various linguistic levels, while also highlighting its alignment and divergence from the linguistic norms of the Mishna. Employing an applied analytical approach, the study meticulously analyzes the text, employing linguistic principles to unveil formal and semantic connections that bind its elements. The outcome of the study involves identifying the textual structural layers intrinsic to Pirkei Avot, assessing its linguistic congruity with the Mishna's language, and elucidating its distinctive contributions to the evolving Hebrew language during the Mishnaic era.
