لمکة أهمية روحية وثقافية في حياة الشعوب الإسلامية، فهي أقدس بقاع الأرض ومهوى الأفئدة، وقد ارتأينا أن نستضيء بجذوة من قبس ثقافة وعلوم هذه البلدة المبارکة من خلال کتاب "خلاصة الأثر في أعيان القرن الحادي عشر" للمحبي (ت1111هـ/ 1699م)، ويشتمل البحث على: أولاً: التعريف بالمحبي وکتابه والقيمة العلمية له ثانيا: مکانة علماء مکة. ثالثاً: دور الحج في توثيق العلاقات العلمية بين مکة وبلدان العالم الإسلامي. رابعاً: المجاورون ودورهم في ازدهار الأوضاع العلمية بمکة. خامساً: المکتبات الخاصة ودورها في ازدهار الأوضاع العلمية بمکة. سادساً: الرحلة في طلب العلم. سابعاً: الإجازات العلمية. ثامناً: النتاج العلمي بمکة. بالإضافة إلى الخاتمة والفهارس.
Makkah has a spiritual and cultural importance in the lives of the Muslim peoples. It is the holiest place in the world and the envy of the people. We have chosen to light the culture and sciences of this blessed town through the book of the 11th Century Archeology. It has a lot of news about the reality of Makkah scientific, which is good to be collected and studied and take the benefits and results thereof. The research includes: First: the definition of lovers and his book and the scientific value of book - Second: the status of the scholars of Makkah. - Third: the role of Hajj in the strengthening of scientific relations  etween Makkah and the countries of the Islamic world. - Fourth: The neighbors and their role in the flourishing of scientific conditions in Makkah. - Fifth: Private libraries and their role in  the prosperity of scientific conditions in Makkah. - Sixth: The journey to seek knowledge. - Seventh: Scientific holidays. - Eighth: Scientific output in Makkah. -In addition to the conclusion and proven sources and references.
