الملخص: 
تعد هذه الفترة من أهم الفترات التى مرت بها کلاً من الحجاز ومصر على حد سواء، والتى تمثلت فى انتشار الفکر الوهابى وتحوله من الإطار السلمى إلى الإطار العسکرى؛ وما ترتب على ذلک من عمليات عسکرية فى الأراضى الحجازية ممولة عسکرياً ومادياً من الخزانة المصرية. وتناولت تمهيداً للفکر الوهابى ودراسة تاريخية من واقع المکاتبات للتجهيزات المادية والبشرية للجيش المصرى البرى والبحرى، وواقع العمليات العسکرية بقيادة طوسون باشا وخط سير الجملة والفتوحات وصولاً إلى الصلح مع زعيم الوهابيين وانتهاءاً بوفاة طوسون باشا. وتضمنت إعداد قائمة حصر مکودة بالمکاتبات الخاصة بموضوع الدراسة. وتحديد مستوى الوصف ضمن "ديوان المعية السنية" کسلسلة مستبعدة عن الديوان من قبل دار الوثائق القومية. وإعداد بطاقات وصف أرشيفى متعدد المستوى لنماذج من المکاتبات. ثم عرضاً لنتائج وتوصيات الدراسة. کما تضمنت الدراسة ملحقين الأول قائمة الحصر المکودة والثانى نماذج متنوعة من مکاتبات (بحر برا) والتى لم يتم نشرها من قبل.
This period is considered one of the most important periods in which both Hijaz and Egypt have passed through the spread of Wahhabi thought and transformation from the peaceful framework to the military framework. The resulting military operations of the Hijaz lands are financed militarily and financially from the Egyptian Treasury. The study dealt with two aspects as follows: The history of the military operations led by Tusun Pasha and the path of the campaign and the conquests to the reconciliation with the leader of the Wahhabis and ending with the death of Tusun Pasha. Including the preparation of an inventory composed of correspondence on the subject of the study. and to determine the level of description within the "Diwan Al-Ma'iyya Al-Sania" as a series excluded from the Bureau by the National Archives. And the preparation of multi-level archiving cards for forms of correspondence. And then presentation of the results and recommendations of the study. The study also included two find aids, the first is enumerated inventory, and the second model, from the correspondence of (Bahr bara), which has not been published before.
