"مملکة کرکميش الحثية الحديثة فى شمال سورية " " Neo-Hittite kingdom of Karkamish in northern Syria"

تُعد مملکة قرقامش (کرکميش) من بين أهم الممالک الحثية الحديثة, أو الحثية المتأخرة أو السورية ـــ الحثية (Syro-Hittite), وهى مجموعة من الممالک الصغيرة قامت فى شمال سورية , کليکيا ,الجزء الاوسط من جنوب بلاد الأناضول بعد عام1200 ق.م , وقد کانت مستوطنة مهمة في شمال سورية خلال القرنين (14, 15) ق.م, تتبع الحکم الميتاني (الحوري), ثم أصبحت تحت السيطرة الحثية خلال عصر مؤسس الدولة الحثية الحديثة "شوبيلوليوما الأول ــــــــ 1380-1340ق.م", وقد جعلها قاعدة عسکرية ومقرًا لحکم الاقليم السورى, واستمرت سلالته تحکم "کرکميش" حتى انهيار الإمبراطورية الحثية بحدود عام 1207ق.م.
صارت مملکة " کرکميش"  تدريحيًا بعد انهيار الإمبراطورية الحثية مرکزًا للحثيين فى شمال سورية, وقد لقب ملوکها انفسهم بلقب " ملک بلاد ختي", وأطلقت عليها النصوص المسمارية فى بلاد الرافدين بلاد "حاتي" أو "خاتى" حتى نهاية الألف الأول قبل الميلاد, وقد انهى الآشوريون  نفوذها السياسي فى عام 717ق.م, وتم ضمها إلى الدولة الآشورية وصارت اقليمًا تابعًا لها.
تهدف الدراسة إلى تسليط الضوء على الوضع السياسى لملکة "کرکميش" الحثية الحديثة منذ منتصف القرن (14. ق.م), حتى سقوطها وضمها للدولة الآشورية , وهو يُعد محاولة لفهم طبيعة الوضع السياسى لمملکة "کرکميش" بعد انهيار الإمبراطورية الحثية وحتى سقوط " کرکميش" على أيدى الاشوريين.
Karkamış (Carchemish) Kingdom is one of the most important modern Hittite kingdoms, or the Late Hittite, Syro-Hittite, A group of Small Kingdoms Established in Northern Syria, Cilicia and the Central Part of Southern Anatolia after 1200 BC, it was an important settlement even before the 2nd millennium BCE.
 Karkamış remained under Mitanni (Hurri) rule during the 15th and 14th centuries and then came into Hittite control, The city of Karkamish had served as the seat of the Hittite viceroy in Syria, where a line of direct descendants of the Hittite Great King "Suppiluliuma.I 1340-1380C", had administered Hittite rule in Syria since the mid-14th century BC. and his dynasty continued to rule "Carchemish" until the collapse of the Hittite Empire in 1207 BC.
After the collapse of the Hittite Empire, the Kingdom of "Carchemish" gradually became a center for the Hittites in northern Syria. Its kings called themselves "King of the Hittite countries", The cuneiform texts in Mesopotamia called it “ the land of Hatti” until the End of the first Millennium BC, The Assyrians Ended Political Influence in the year 717 BC, and Annexed it to the Assyrian state and it became a Dependent Region.  
Objectives of the study :
The study aims to shed light on the political situation of the modern Hittite kingdom "Carchemish" from the middle of the fourteenth century B.C, until its fall and annexation of the Assyrian state.
